BD® Tube Vacutainer® Citrate Plus Plastic: For regular testing of coagulation times.
Trisodium citrate additive buffered 0.129M. Their concentrations of sodium citrate can have significant effects in tests of aTTP and TP (3-4x)
The size of the tubes allows their use as a primary tube, avoiding the transfer to secondary containers for analysis and thereby reducing the risks of contact with the samples.
DB Vacutainer® plastic tubes with 3.2% sodium citrate have a minimum drainage volume indicator line marked on the body of the tube, this helps to minimize errors in the sample anticoagulant ratio of 1: 9.
** Citrate tubes should be centrifuged at a rate and time to consistently produce platelet-poor plasma (platelet count <10,000μL) according to CLSI recommendations.
