DB® Vacutainer® plastic tube with Heparin has sodium or lithium heparin applied by spray.

They are used for clinical chemistry determinations in plasma.

Heparin is micronized in the walls of the tubes in a way that allows the greatest possible solubility. In general, lithium heparin is more commonly used than sodium heparin.
